As Autumn creeps in, out come the socks for cosy feet. I don’t own many pairs personally, and Squiggle has grown out of most of hers too, so time for us to stock up; and Sock Shop have stepped in with some lovely pairs for us! Being eco conscious, I love the fact that they have a great range of bamboo socks to choose from.

Bamboo Socks
I was delighted to see that SockShop has such a brilliant range of bamboo socks. They are not only a sustainable choice of material but they are also super soft. Bamboo has antibacterial properties and is far more absorbent than cotton, and the thermoregulation means they are perfect for our unpredictable climate. Non-allergenic properties also make bamboo a good choice for sensitive skin too.
Our Selection
I opted for a few different pairs of bamboo socks in the Elle range, and each set came in a pack of two different pairs. The selection includes;
Lacy bamboo anklets in Sunset Sands – RRP £8.99
These cute lacy socks come in two patterns; a pretty, cable pattern with floral accents and a baroque floral, both with a slight shimmer effect. They have thicker, opaque toes, heels and cuffs for durability, finished by the flattest hand linked toes for smooth seams to make them extra comfortable and protect from skin irritation. They look pretty and dainty!
Shell/ Driftwood lacy bamboo anklets – RRP £8.99 (currently on sale at £2.99 at time of writing)
These come as two contrasting colour pairs, both with flat hand linked toes for smooth seams and topped by ruffle edged cuffs. They are airy with open lace weave, yet comfortable with smooth woven feet. Squiggle will really like these!
Sheer stripe bamboo anklet socks – RRP £8.99 (sale price £2.99 at time of publishing)
These bright funky socks are thinner than standard pairs, almost-invisible, with sheer slim tonal stripes on a fine, transparent base. They look cool and feel very light.
Black over the knee bamboo socks – £11.99
These are ideal for lazing around at home, or to wear with a skirt or dress as a great alternative to tights. The bamboo means they regulate temperature well so are perfect for nights out, chilly autumn days, or cosy nights in. I love that these are environmentally friendly yet fashionable!
Summary
The socks are all high quality and fit as expected. They look pretty and feel comfortable. Love the range of choices; brilliant selection, great variety!
